I did something fabulous today that makes me feel like this:
Granted, I'm writing this on Wednesday the 21st even though (in keeping with my new year's resolution of writing as much as I can and then scheduling posts for the future) you won't be reading it until 5 days later. So it is entirely possible that by that time I'll feel like this:
No I can't tell you what I did-I'll tell you when you're older, but suffice it to say, I have the greatest faith that my actions today will make the future feel the colourful amour of serendipity and thus, look a little more like these:
I should also note that I'm in love with this song:
"You look like an art piece floating in my mind
And I am told fortunes are gold
Fortunes are gold.
Bucket loads of gratitude I feel for you
You are fine.
I pour you like wine, pour you like wine.
As the desert sky turns into shadow light
Beside me on my bed tonight
Your love is the only light I see
You feel like the only home I’ve ever known
And I am shown tonight:
You seem like a memory that I’ve always known
And it has shown as long as I go, long as I go.
Safe and lost forever in a fantasy,
Tosses and turns.
My heart never yearns.
My heart never yearns.
There’s no better place to be than in your eyes.
There’s no other sight to see
You’re the cornbread and iced tea of life.
You feel like the only home I’ve ever known
And I am shown tonight
Oh how I’m shown
Goodnight."
Because it makes me feel like this:
Happy Monday!!!

Ahhhhh the Warmth of Friday and a Weekend Away!
So I'm off for the weekend to go home and celebrate my birthday (a week late) with my mom and friends in Greenville. So I thought, since my plans for the weekend include staying in on the couch curled up with a warm blanket, cake, and a favourite dog, it seems an appropriate time for me to share the fascinatingly adorable quilts found on Denyse Schmidt's website.
The names are the finest parts I believe, mostly for the feelings they evoke so pay attention ladies and gents!
1st up= Drunk Love in a Log Cabin - ooo what fun!
Roots:
There Goes the Neighborhood:
Snake Charmer:
Tulip Tree:
On and On:
Couldn't Keep it to Myself:
Swirl:
and then that great name again. . .Drunk Love (2-toned):
Her fabric collections are also, well, pretty darn fabulous!:
County Fair:
Katie Jump Rope:
Flea market Fancy:
That's all for me for a couple of days.
Hug someone special and have a gorgeous weekend!

Valentines on the Mind
Not quite a month away, while I still have yet to decide who my main squeeze for Feb. 14th will be (or should I say the big man upstairs hasn't clued me in yet), either way - I ADORE valentines cards, don't you?
Greer Chicago has some lovely valentines that happen to be amongst my faves:

In fact, a couple of my bffs might need this one:
If this isn't your particularly favourite holiday, please keep in mind that they have other cards for many more occasions that are just as exceptional:
Even calling cards like this:

Although scandalously fun, I think when my mister shows up at the front door, we'll decide to use something like this instead:

Had I been psychic last valentines day (such a disappointment) I would have bought this one for future use on the now current ex-mister:
Stylish file folders, fun bookplates too, even adorable luggage tags, Oh my!:

So hop on over and buy something special for that special someone OR meeeee!!! ;)
