If Mandy wants the Evil One:
So my girl Mandy wants my cat. Some days I love this guy:Other days I think he's the worst feline on earth.
So, if I give Lord Allouiscious Burgleigh away, should I get one of these?:photo from Anna Maria Horner
Or these?:photo from I Suwannee
But what would I do without my favourite man???

I get really frustrated when I don't have time for my blogs - no worries guys, I'm still reading, I'm just not posting! :(
Here's a fabulous photo from the vault though:I think I'd be a much happier girl if Miles Redd was my boyfriend instead of. . . . .

Preoccupied. . .
I had every intention of posting loads and loads on Friday, but then the worst possible thing happened:photo from here
Yes, as a matter of fact that is a really big Trojan Horse. Thank God that's all cleared up now. But I'm still fairly preoccupied I must admit. Why? This is why:
Candace and I have been recruited to help scout locations in Durham for the photo shoot and we've had one heck of a busy week as a result. Phone calls, emails, short visits, working lunches, more emails, return phone calls, fuss about people not returning phone calls, adventures up mountains, etc. So here's what we've come up with:photo from herephoto from here
I'm so excited I just can't stand it! The next big task will be designing the sets. Here's a sneak peak at some items we're using for inspiration:

We're far from completion though, so ya'll cross your fingers and say your prayers because we need lots of them!
Oh and I almost forgot! I've included a link on my sidebar to fantastic sites about Durham like this one so check them out when you have the time! We're bringing lots of fun to the Bull City and I just couldn't be more elated than I am at this very moment!
Off to church now - Happy Sunday!

Pearl River
I have to admit, this site kind of exhausts me. Too much to look at!!!
Lovely tins - they make me want to drink more tea, just so I can have these to display:
Pretty Soaps - the packaging really "makes" them, don't you think?:Their cosmetic bags in plastic/oil clothe are perfect:With totes and luggage tags to match oh my!:These fun mini jewelry boxes would make wonderful stud storage:I heart square plates:Precious soup spoons:Coordinating bowls are just asking for some egg drop soup, yummers!:But ohhh the owl set!:I think I need one of the capiz candle holders in every colour - maybe a few extra of the pink ones:I've been longing for one of these for some time:Adorable towels!:My favourite item by far, a birdcage of course!:Gotta love the foo dogs:I'm slightly unsure about this, but the colour is just divine:Whewwwww! See, aren't you exhausted? Too much to love!!!

Considering Lilies
I'm always overwhelmed by my bff's talent. Kate has been a wonderful inspiration to me over the last 10 years or so and I'm always in complete awe at her eye for colour and composition.
Here's a preview of her latest adventure on Etsy:Isn't her work just lovely? :) Ok, now go buy it please!!!

The Miniature Duplex
I loved my last two homes. They were the perfect spots for me at those particular moments in life.
1st, the country house (where I learned to let things go)
“A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone." Then, the city house: (where I rushed into falling and decided to not let it ever go)
"Wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you."Align CenterBut now I'm in the new house and its cute. . .but dark. . .and small. . .and I've hit a wall when it comes to decorating it. I'm being persistent though AND I'm motivated (which is an entirely fabulous combo!)
"Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock."
You remember on Will and Grace when Grace would have a "design orgasm" and get really excited about an idea for a room? Well I have NOT been having one of those! I'm pressing on anyway though- - - - -here are some of my thoughts:
The bedroom:The kitchen:The office/dining room:The bathroom:and finally, the most difficult room, the living area:(sorry, so many of these pictures have been stored on my computer for ages and ages so I can't give credit where it is due but if they're yours or you know where they came from, please please please let me know!)
The inspiration for the entire house is right here yo!: Marie Antoinette - blue, pink, yellow, white MORE is MORE (in a very "edited" sort of way)My wonderful mom is coming to help this weekend, wish us luck (and hope we don't murder each other)!!!
Ya'll have a good one and come back soon! :)
"Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there's love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong."
