I remember someone asking me this question years ago: "If you could have one famous painter from throughout history to paint your portrait, who would it be?"
I believe my answer at the time was Picasso - to which a friend replied: "but he'd paint you with 3 noses, why would you want that?". My response was that I just wanted to see how he would view me. I believe I might have changed my mind - Modigliani, yep, definitely Modigliani:
